Il Castellino is a very nice farmhouse that once belonged to and old abbey, no longer existing.
It is set on a slope of the hill- with a beautiful view on the plain of Lucca, the Apuan Alps and the valley of Serchio river.
It is surrounded by a large terraced property with beautiful olive groves.
The house has been restored with great taste and great care for the minimum details, both inside and outside, always using old stones, terracotta tiles and wood beams.
The owner is a young antique dealer who found most of the restoring decorative elements among real antiques, like the kitchen old carved marble sink. Unusual and valuable antique furniture and objects are spread everywhere. Some antiques have been adapted to new decorating uses as the beautiful mirror gilded frame turned into a very original bed head. In any corner this lovely house retains all the traditional charming atmosphere of a tuscan home.
The pool is nicely set among olive trees with wide view on the valley.
To reach the house one has to drive through a nice country paved road and then up on a gravelled private road (about 600 mt) to the house and to the wide open space surrounding it.

The owner lives in the independent restored barn. His very friendly dog lives in the property.
The house lays on a terraced ground, on three floors.
