| Day 3: LUCCA |
 |
After
breakfast, excursion to Lucca the only medieval town in
Italy still surrounded by its original 14th century walls,
a town filled with ancient Roman ruins, as well as great
furniture and jewelry antique shops. Half day guided tour
of the town. In the afternoon, visit of the XVI century
Palazzo Pfanner and its splendid garden, set of the Oscar
movie The Portrait of the Lady. Return to the hotel, dinner
and overnight.

| Day 4: PORTOVENERE
- VERNAZZE |

After
breakfast, Departure to Portovenere, boat tour to "5
Terre", also known as the Gulf of Poets thanks to
the many poets and writers who languished in the bay.
Charles Dickens in Pictures from Italy wrote: "There
is nothing in Italy, more beautiful to me, than the coast
road between Genoa and La Spezia". Stop at Vernazze,
one of the 5 small fishing villages, for a wine tasting
and a light lunch at the Enoteca, to taste the unique
and not exported wine of this land with the typical focaccia
bread. Late afternoon, return to the hotel, dinner, overnight.

| Day 5: FLORENCE |
 |
After
breakfast, departure to Florence an enchanted place,
cradle of most of the arts expressions, painting,
sculpture, architecture, which flourished in the
centuries and made it the world art capital city,
it is always a main attraction in any tour. Half
day guided visit of the town. Afternoon at leisure
for shopping. Return to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

| Day 6: TORRE
DEL LAGO - VIAREGGIO |

After
breakfast, visit of the famous open market of Forte dei
Marmi, an amazing experience at an exclusive street market.
Then departure to Torre del Lago, also named Puccini Lake,
to visit the house/museum of the famous composer. Boat
tour on the lake accompanied by the music of his Operas.
Stop in Viareggio for a stroll along its Deco' promenade
for shopping or for a coffee in one of its historical
Cafes'. Return to the hotel and dinner.

| Day 7: Certosa
del Galluzzo - Pietrafitta Estate - San Gimignano |

After
breakfast, excursion to Certosa del Galluzzo (close to
Florence). The monks living there will lead us to admire
Pontormo's frescoes on a guided tour of the monastery.
Transfer to Pietrafitta Estate, famous winery producer
of the Vernaccia wine. Visit of the ancient wine cellars.
Wine and olive oil tasting followed by lunch at the Villa
which belonged to the Royal Family of Savoia. Transfer
to San Gimignano, a splendid medieval small town situated
between Florence and Siena, known throughout the world
for its forest of towers emerging form the ancient houses.
It is a city of towers, but also one with a long history,
starting from the significant Etruscan remains that placed
San Gimignano among the cities on UNESCO's World Heritage
List. Return to the hotel, dinner.

| Day 8: Carrara

After breakfast, excursion
to Carrara marble quarry. Visit of the famous Cave Gioa
the most important marble quarry, where Michelangelo used
to take the marble for its sculptures. Transfer to Pietrasanta.
Guided tour of the medieval town and lecture on "the
tradition of Marble and Bronze" held by Professor
Mori, who will give the unique opportunity to visit the
marble studios and the foundries , where famous artists
as Botero, Folon, Mitoraj produce their works. Visit of
a mosaic laboratory. Return to the hotel, deinner, overnight.
